Wholesale Parts Manager

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Wholesale Parts Manager to lead our parts distribution operations and optimize supply chain processes. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of automotive parts and accessories, ensuring seamless coordination with suppliers and internal teams. Duties Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts, negotiating pricing, and establishing supplier relationships to secure reliable supply chains. Oversee inventory control using ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and order management software to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce excess inventory. Coordinate logistics for shipping & receiving, ensuring timely delivery of parts to dealerships, repair shops, and customers. Supervise warehouse operations including warehouse management, equipment repair, forklift operation, and shipping & receiving activities to maximize efficiency and safety. Utilize automotive diagnostics knowledge and automotive service expertise to verify parts compatibility and quality standards. Implement demand planning strategies based on sales trends, seasonal fluctuations, and customer needs to forecast future requirements accurately. Maintain detailed records through data entry in systems like AS400 or CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), ensuring accurate documentation of inventory movements and procurement activities. Foster strong relationships with suppliers through effective negotiation and sourcing strategies while ensuring compliance with OEM standards. Support dealership experience initiatives by providing exceptional customer service related to parts availability and order status updates. Qualifications Proven experience in supply chain management within the automotive or manufacturing industry, with a strong understanding of procurement management, sourcing, and logistics. Hands-on warehouse management experience including inventory control, shipping & receiving, and equipment repair; forklift certification is preferred. Mechanical knowledge related to automotive diagnostics, auto body repair, HVAC systems, or equipment repair is highly desirable. Familiarity with ERP systems such as AS400 or similar order management systems; experience with CMMS is a plus. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to develop strategic supplier partnerships while managing pricing strategies effectively. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for data entry, demand planning, and inventory management tasks. Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly with dealership staff, suppliers, and internal teams. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment requiring multitasking across procurement, logistics, and inventory functions.
