Wholesale Foodservice Delivery Driver

We are looking for a reliable and energetic Wholesale Foodservice Delivery Driver to join our team. Duties Safely operate a commercial vehicle to deliver foodservice products to various clients. Load and unload deliveries using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment like pallet jacks or hand trucks. Follow established routes efficiently while adhering to traffic regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) standards, and company policies. Ensure accurate order fulfillment by verifying delivery details and checking for damages or discrepancies. Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, providing friendly service and addressing any questions or concerns. Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles, ensuring they are safe and well-maintained. Complete delivery documentation accurately as required. Requirements Previous experience in warehouse operations, commercial driving, or delivery driving. Valid driver’s license, along with an acceptable driving record to meet DOT and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) requirements. Ability to handle manual handling equipment such as pallet jacks and perform heavy lifting safely. Familiarity with route driving, adhering to traffic laws, and DOT regulations related to weight handling in the workplace. Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude during interactions with clients. Physical ability to lift heavy items consistently and perform moving tasks efficiently. This is a full-time entry level driving position, Tuesday - Friday. Route start times vary from 4am - 6am and may fluctuate seasonally and by route, averaging 10-12 hours a day. Product varies in weight from under 2 lbs. to 50 lbs. Vehicles vary in size from Isuzu's to straight box trucks. Ability to drive manual truck is not required, but the willingness to learn is. You must be able to pass a DOT-approved medical exam and MVR/background check to meet the FMCSA standards and hold this position. Further advancement in the company is possible with cash incentives for certain milestones.
