Warehouse Third Shift Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY: Warehouse Shift Supervisors oversee all day-to-day operations of the facility (or on a specific warehouse shift), including picking, order scale counting, packing, receiving, and shipping. They supervise warehouse personnel while implementing policies and procedures to create a safe, organized, and productive work environment. Wage starting at $35 an hour based on experience. The shift hours are 12am-8:30am. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES (ALL COMPANIES): Other duties may be assigned. Oversee all daily functions (kitting, pulling, packing, receiving, shipping, inventory control, training/retraining, quality). Supervise and guide warehouse supervisors who oversee the various departments in the warehouse. Handle any daily issues that may arise concerning processes within the job function(s). Complete yearly reviews for all warehouse supervisors and direct reports. Track productivity and quality numbers for employees in all function(s). Review numbers weekly with the department supervisor(s). Assure that all necessary work is being completed daily so that productivity and quality of the entire group are maintained. Maintain and evaluate staffing levels to make sure each is in line with goals that need to be attained. Complete and maintain relevant warehouse reports to make sure they are current and resolve any outstanding issues. Participate in warehouse meetings with co-warehouse managers, and host daily, or weekly meetings with direct supervisor staff. Interview prospective employees when needed. Work hours that correspond to the hours that need the most supervision at any given time. Perform daily functions (kit, pull, pack, ship) when necessary to make sure daily goals are met. Work in a manner that promotes efficient handling and minimizes waste. Participate in Company sponsored training and process improvement activities. Comply with all Company Policies as defined in the Company's Warehouse Orientation Packet (Heilind/DB Roberts) Pursue continuous improvement through training and process improvement. Comply with all applicable elements of the Company's Quality Management System. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Must have attention to detail. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES (ICC Only) . Other duties may be assigned. Adhere to the principles of "5 S" to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Participate in company sponsored training and process improvement activities. Comply with all ICC Policies as defined in the ICC Employee Handbook. Pursuing continuous improvement through training and process improvement. Comply with all applicable elements of ICC Quality Management System. SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to use electronic devices such as barcode scanners for material pulling and material put away. Basic computer skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Attention to Detail Adaptability Dependability Requirements: EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or equivalent. At least two years of experience in a warehouse setting preferred. Proficient in basic math skills. Knowledge of correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook and Excel). REQUIREMENTS: Must be a U.S. Person defined as: U.S. Citizen, Any individual granted U.S. permanent residence, granted status as a "protected person" under 8 U.S.C. 132b (a) (3); corporation/business/organization/group incorporated in the U.S under U.S law; or part of the U.S. government.
