Job Description – Warehouse & Logistics Lead About Us Roberts Ferry Gourmet is a family-owned maker of Awesomely Delicious Gourmet Goodies, based in Waterford, California. We hand-make 30+ artisan popcorn flavors, caramel corn from a 43-year-old scratch recipe, candies, nuts, trail mixes, and confections. Our products move through four retail locations, our website, hundreds of wholesale retailers, and corporate gifting clients. Over 30% of our year ships in the last eight weeks, so a well-run warehouse is the backbone of everything we do. Role Mission Own the warehouse so that every order leaves complete, on time, and correct, and nobody ever has to ask what's running low. You run the floor day to day, lead our warehouse helper, keep inventory accurate in Cin7 Core, and close the loop on every task without being reminded. Who We Are Looking For An owner, not a task-taker. You see a problem and show up with two possible solutions, not just the problem. Proactive: you flag low stock before it's urgent and fix messes before anyone notices them. Organized: staging areas, shelves, and the popper station look the same at 4 p.m. as they did at 8 a.m. Accountable: you take notes, document what you receive, and finish every day with a close-out check. A steady leader: you can train and direct a first-job helper with patience and clear standards. Built for Q4: you stay calm and accurate when December volume runs four times a normal month. Responsibilities & Expectations Daily operations Run a consistent morning flow: walk the floor, review open orders and the day's priorities, assign tasks to the warehouse helper. Pick, pack, and stage wholesale, online, Faire, and store-transfer orders using Cin7 Core scanning. Keep staging, shelving, and aisles clean, labeled, and organized at all times. Manage the popcorn popper area: cleanliness, readiness, and coordination with Production. Finish every shift with an end-of-day close-out: floor clean, orders staged, notes logged, nothing left open. Inventory Perform regular cycle counts and inventory checks so Cin7 matches the shelf. Send low-stock notices to the office and Production before items become urgent. Receive incoming deliveries the same day, record them accurately in Cin7, and note any shortages or damage with photos. Build store transfers and replenishment for our four retail locations. Shipping & logistics Prepare parcel shipments in ShipStation and coordinate freight and pallet pickups for wholesale and corporate orders. Pack to our warm-weather shipping standards so product arrives fresh. Leadership & safety Supervise, train, and hold the warehouse helper to written daily standards. Maintain a safe, food-grade facility and complete maintenance checklists. Plan and staff for the October–December peak with Ownership. Required Experience & Skills Required 2+ years in warehouse, distribution, or fulfillment, including at least 1 year leading or training others. Hands-on experience with inventory software, scanners, and cycle counts. Comfortable with email, spreadsheets, and basic computer work. Able to lift 50 lbs, stand for a full shift, and work extra hours in Q4, including some Weekends. Reliable transportation to our rural Waterford facility (please check the commute before applying). Nice to have Cin7, ShipStation, Shopify, or similar systems. Forklift or pallet jack certification. Food-handling or food-manufacturing experience. Freight/LTL booking experience.
