Blue Bell CreameriesRole Summary The Warehousing/Distribution clerks follow the direction of their immediate supervisor as it relates to in/out, break, lunch times, specific position to work and length of time at that position. Be willing to cross train in all areas within the warehousing area. This role ensures timely and accurate documentation, proper labeling, and coordination between warehouse staff, production, and shipping/receiving teams. Key Responsibilities Unload trailers of finished goods, empty pallet or ingredients that are at the SE dock. Issue and return ingredients to ingredient processing that are needed for production. Work with test and hold and QC hold as needed, keeping accurate inventory records. Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments, inventory adjustments, and stock movements. Verify shipment contents against purchase orders, packing slips, and delivery documentation. Prepare and process shipping and receiving paperwork. Update warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP systems with inventory and shipment data. Assist in labeling, sorting, and staging products for shipment or storage. Coordinate with warehouse operators, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely movement of materials. Monitor stock levels and report discrepancies or shortages to the supervisor. Support cycle counts and inventory audits as needed. Maintain organized filing systems for shipping and receiving documents. Follow company policies, safety regulations, and warehouse procedures. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and shipping/receiving procedures. Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Basic problem-solving skills for resolving shipment or inventory discrepancies. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 1–2 years of experience in warehouse, distribution, or inventory clerical work preferred. Basic computer skills and familiarity with WMS, ERP, or inventory software. Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, packing slips, and inventory reports. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work in a cold fast-paced warehouse environment. Physical Requirements Mobility: Ability to stand, walk, and perform clerical duties for extended periods. Manual Dexterity: Must be able to perform repetitive motions with hands and fingers. Speaking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to convey detailed spoken instructions to other coworkers accurately, loudly, or quickly. Visual acuity both near and far: Clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less (i.e., working with small objects or reading small print), including use of computers, as well as clarity of vision at 20 feet or more- this is not just the ability to see a person or object, but the ability to recognize features as well. Hearing: The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (e.g., machinery alarms, or alarms). Lifting and Carrying: Must be able to continuously lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
