Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks and personal vehicles for local deliveries, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws. Load, unload, and secure cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment such as forklifts or hand trucks. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with all regulations. Manage delivery routes efficiently using mobile devices for navigation and communication, ensuring on-time arrivals. Assist with warehouse operations including manual handling, moving inventory, and organizing materials for delivery or storage. Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during delivery, addressing questions or concerns courteously. Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy items, ensuring proper weight distribution and manual handling techniques to prevent injury. Qualifications Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations with a focus on manual handling and safe lifting practices. Valid driver’s license suitable for operating a box truck or van; experience with manual transmission is a plus. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations, including DOT compliance and weight handling in the workplace. Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks safely and effectively. Strong knowledge of route driving, traffic regulations, and safe driving practices essential for delivery drivers. Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude during interactions with clients. Prior experience with warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for specific equipment or procedures as needed.
