Totran Transportation ServiceOverview Join our dynamic Wind Division as a Heavy Haul Truck Driver, where you'll play a vital role in transporting large-scale wind turbine components and heavy equipment across diverse over-the-road (OTR) routes. As a key member of our logistics team, you will operate specialized heavy-duty trucks, including flatbeds, tankers, and tractor-trailers, adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Safely operate heavy-duty trucks such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds and specialized wind turbine transport trailers across long-distance routes. Load and unload heavy cargo using manual handling techniques or equipment like forklifts, ensuring secure placement in compliance with safety standards. Navigate complex routes using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules efficiently and accurately. Ensure compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT regulations, and hazardous materials regulations during all operations. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to guarantee optimal performance and safety before each trip. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate route planning, delivery schedules, and potential issues during transit. Requirements Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL-A) with Double and Triples endorsements. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including load & unload operations for freight or oversized cargo. Demonstrated ability to operate automatic /manual transmission trucks safely over long distances on OTR routes. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning for efficient deliveries across various terrains. Knowledge of logistics cargo handling techniques specific to flatbed, tanker, roll-off trucks, and automobile transportation. Experience with truck loading/unloading procedures using forklifts or manual handling methods. Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols related to dangerous goods transportation.
