TRUCK AND COACH TECHNICIAN

Title: Truck & Coach Technician Reports to: Fleet Shop Manager Based at: Mucci Pac Ltd., Kingsville, ON Revised: October 26, 2020 Type of Employment: Full time, permanent, 6-7 days a week (as required); which include Saturdays, depending on workload and priorities. Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Repair and diagnose farm equipment, company vehicles, transport trucks and trailers. Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, lubricating, air and fuel filters. Conduct regular safety inspections on vehicles and equipment Replacement of any defective parts. Maintain all required records and files for vehicle maintenance. Plowing, salting, and removal of snow will be required when necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Over 5 years of experience as a Truck & Coach Technician Must be physically able to lift heavy material (i.e. up to 23 kg/50 lbs.) Knowledge of computers and scan tools is considered an asset Truck and Coach Certificate and/or currently in 2nd or 3rd year of Truck and Coach Apprenticeship Knowledge of all Truck and Mechanic tools related to the trade Ability to work independently or within a team setting Able to climb stairs and stand on feet for an extended period of time. Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs Ability to prioritize, multi-task and deal with time sensitive deadlines and priorities Physical Abilities: Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs. Must be able to lift material regularly up to 14 kg / 30 lbs; and occasionally up to 23 kg / 50lbs Able to climb stairs and stand on feet for an extended period of time. Work in a temperature-controlled environment of approximately 13 ˚C / 55 ˚F. The rate of pay for this position is $35 - $42 per hour Job Requirements: The incumbent will be committed to customer service excellence and leading by example.
