Transportation & Logistic Specialist

Position Summary BioGro, Inc. is seeking a Transportation and Logistics Specialist to oversee transportation, rail operations, fleet management, and logistics activities across multiple facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient product movement, transportation compliance, cost control, and reliable service to support company operations and customer needs. Key Responsibilities Manage inbound and outbound freight utilizing truckload, LTL, rail, and intermodal transportation. Coordinate railcar scheduling, tracking, unloading, and carrier communications. Oversee company fleet operations, maintenance programs, registrations, and inspections. Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, PHMSA, and other transportation regulations. Maintain transportation and compliance records and support audits and inspections. Negotiate carrier rates and manage transportation providers. Monitor transportation costs, service levels, and key performance metrics. Collaborate with production, warehouse, sales, and customer service teams to ensure timely deliveries. Investigate transportation issues and implement corrective actions. Develop and maintain transportation policies, procedures, and safety standards. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or fleet management. Experience with transportation compliance and regulatory requirements. Knowledge of rail logistics and fleet operations required. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation management systems.
