We are seeking a motivated and experienced Tractor Trailer Driver to join our team in Huntington, WV. As a key player in our logistics operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) and local deliveries, while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Your expertise will help us deliver exceptional service to our customers and maintain the integrity of our cargo. Responsibilities Operate tractor-trailer trucks safely and efficiently on assigned routes, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other specialized equipment. Navigate using GPS systems to ensure timely deliveries and pickups across designated routes, including OTR driving routes. Load and unload freight manually or with equipment such as forklifts, ensuring proper handling of logistics cargo while complying with safety regulations. Follow all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, hazardous materials regulations, and hazardous goods handling procedures. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before operating. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and cargo manifests in compliance with federal regulations. Deliver goods promptly to clients while providing excellent customer service and ensuring the security of hazardous materials or dangerous goods when applicable. Requirements Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to tractor-trailer operation, including Hazmat certification if applicable. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially with tractor-trailers used for freight delivery. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tanker trucks, roll-off trucks, dump trucks or similar equipment is preferred. Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety procedures for manual handling and truck loading/unloading. Experience with route driving using GPS navigation systems for efficient delivery planning. Ability to handle manual transmission vehicles and operate equipment such as forklifts when necessary for cargo handling. Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance on over-the-road (OTR) routes and local deliveries. Physical ability to load/unload freight manually or with mechanical assistance; capable of lifting heavy cargo safely.
