Tower Crane Operator / Rigger swamper

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dependable Tower Crane Operator / Rigger Swamper to join our construction team. This role involves operating tower cranes safely and efficiently, assisting with rigging tasks, and supporting the overall crane operations on-site. The ideal candidate will possess construction experience, mechanical knowledge, and strong communication skills to ensure smooth project execution. Responsibilities Operate tower cranes to lift and move heavy materials accurately across construction sites Assist with rigging operations, including setting up and securing loads for safe lifting Support crane operators by acting as a swamper, providing guidance and communication during lifts Perform routine inspections of crane equipment and rigging gear to ensure safety standards are met Coordinate with ground crew and other team members using effective communication skills Maintain a clean and organized work area around the crane site Assist with mechanical troubleshooting or minor repairs as needed Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries Requirements Prior construction experience, especially with crane operation or rigging preferred Knowledge of crane operation, rigging techniques, and mechanical systems Ability to operate forklifts, boom trucks, or similar equipment is a plus Multilingual or bilingual skills are advantageous for effective communication on diverse teams Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure safety during lifts Mechanical aptitude and understanding of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting Valid certifications related to crane operation or rigging are preferred but not mandatory Ability to work in physically demanding environments and adhere to safety standards at all times Pay: $30.00-$50.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 60.0 per week Benefits: Flexible schedule On-site parking Work Location: In person
