Job Summary As a Tow Truck Driver, you’ll respond to service calls, safely load and transport vehicles, and support customers during roadside situations. Bring strong driving skills, mechanical knowledge and a steady approach to vehicle recovery. Duties Operate a tow truck, including flatbed equipment, for car towing and vehicle recovery towing. Assess vehicles and situations using basic automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting; perform minor mechanical vehicle repairs when appropriate. Load and unload vehicles safely, following safe vehicle-loading practices and cargo securement protocols. Provide clear, courteous customer service and use conflict management skills to handle stressful interactions. Apply automotive repair and vehicle mechanics knowledge to support safe towing and recovery work. Requirements Demonstrated driving ability and commercial driving experience; commercial truck driving experience is preferred. Experience with tow trucks, flatbeds, car towing and safe vehicle loading is preferred. Mechanical knowledge, automotive diagnostics, basic vehicle troubleshooting or mechanic experience is an asset. Ability to follow cargo securement protocols and perform load-and-unload tasks safely. Manual transmission experience, customer service skills, conflict management ability and minor mechanical vehicle repair experience are valued.
