Supply Chain Manager

We’re looking for a Supply Chain Manager in Los Angeles, CA to oversee purchasing, supplier relationships, inventory planning and logistics coordination. This role is suited to someone who can balance cost, delivery schedules and operational demands while finding practical ways to improve supply chain performance. You’ll work closely with procurement, warehouse, logistics and operations teams to keep materials available, resolve supply disruptions and make sure purchasing and distribution activities support business needs. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day supply chain activities, including procurement, inventory planning and logistics coordination. Develop supply plans based on demand forecasts, sales requirements and operational schedules. Manage supplier relationships, review performance and address recurring delivery or quality issues. Negotiate pricing, delivery terms and service agreements with suppliers where appropriate. Monitor inventory levels to maintain product availability while controlling excess stock and carrying costs. Coordinate with purchasing and warehouse teams to maintain accurate inventory records. Review supplier lead times, order status and delivery schedules to identify potential disruptions. Work with logistics partners to coordinate shipments, distribution and transportation requirements. Analyze supply chain costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary spending. Establish and track performance measures for suppliers, inventory accuracy, order fulfillment and delivery reliability. Investigate shortages, delays and other supply issues, then coordinate corrective action. Prepare reports on inventory, purchasing activity, supplier performance and operating costs. Maintain purchasing records, supplier documentation and supply chain procedures. Collaborate with finance and operations teams on budgets, forecasts and purchasing priorities. Identify process improvements that strengthen supply chain visibility, reliability and overall performance. Experience and Skills 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, logistics or a related field. Previous experience managing suppliers, purchasing activities and inventory planning. Understanding of demand forecasting, replenishment, distribution and supply chain operations. Experience reviewing supplier contracts, negotiating commercial terms and monitoring vendor performance. Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret inventory data, delivery trends and operating costs. Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP, inventory management or supply chain planning systems. Ability to identify supply risks, resolve operational problems and manage competing priorities. Clear communication and negotiation skills when working with suppliers and internal teams. Strong judgment, attention to detail and a practical approach to decision-making. A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics or a related field is preferred. APICS/ASCM CPIM, CSCP or other relevant supply chain certifications are a plus.
