Supervisory Transportation Specialist

Overview This is a civilian position and does not require military service or enlistment. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Supervisory Transportation Specialist to lead and optimize our transportation operations. This role is vital in ensuring efficient movement of assets, managing logistics teams, and implementing process improvements across distribution channels. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in transportation management systems, supply chain operations, and team supervision. Duties Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short/long term priorities and prepares schedules for completion of work. Plans, organizes and oversees the activities of the Distribution Section. Develop goals and objectives that integrate organization and Distribution Section objectives. Represents the Distribution Section with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Establishes, develops and maintains effective working relationships with unit supervisors, logistic manages and outside agency logistic representatives. Plans and directs cargo movement and personnel ground movement traffic management functions for the installation.
