Role and Responsibilities of Stock Control Manager:
You will oversee inventory control strategies, lead teams, improve operational processes, and support customer-focused solutions that enhance inventory accuracy, reporting, and overall supply chain performance.
• Manage inventory control strategies that align with customer commitments and operational goals.
• Improve inventory management processes to increase accuracy, accountability, reporting quality, and asset control.
• Develop proactive plans to identify and address inventory risks and operational issues.
• Use inventory data analysis to create improved planning methods and operational approaches.
• Monitor inventory KPIs and ensure results align with commercial expectations.
• Review inventory accuracy, shrink requirements, and service agreements while providing timely reports.
• Enhance inventory systems and processes to support accurate records and effective technology usage.
• Provide documentation for customer, financial, and regulatory audit requirements.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and operational teams to support improvement initiatives.
• Lead associates through performance management, employee development, succession planning, and engagement activities.
• Communicate company policies and maintain a workplace that is safe, secure, clean, and fair.
• Support employee retention and guide teams toward improved performance.
Required Skills and Experience of Stock Control Manager:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 4 years of inventory control experience required.
• 3+ years of logistics industry experience required.
• 3+ years of management experience required, preferably in a large company or unit pick environment.
• 1+ years of experience managing customer relationships, employees, and performance objectives required.
• Experience with team management, performance reporting, and cross-functional leadership required.
• Experience developing metrics and reporting systems required.
• Experience with inventory management systems such as JDA, Manhattan Warehouse Management System, DMPLUS, SAP, or similar platforms required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with different groups.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience managing inventory operations in large logistics or distribution environments.
• Experience supporting customer partnerships and operational improvement projects.
Compensation and Benefits of Stock Control Manager:
• National salary range: $70,000 - $115,000.
