Role and Responsibilities of Airfreight Operations Specialist:
As an Airfreight Operations Specialist, you will manage airfreight shipments from initiation to delivery, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The role involves the following key responsibilities:
• Customer Engagement & Issue Resolution: Engage with customers to collect shipment information, address incidents, and resolve complaints. Ensure effective problem-solving to meet customer expectations.
• Cost & Revenue Management: Capture and assign costs and revenues to customer profiles. Resolve discrepancies and handle complex billing or cost allocation issues.
• Shipment Administrative Support: Handle tasks such as customer bookings, documentation, and coordination of local and international transport activities.
• Shipment Management: Manage shipments according to customer service commitments, ensuring timely and efficient delivery, and resolve operational issues promptly.
• Exception & Irregularity Reporting: Identify operational exceptions and report them to relevant stakeholders. Ensure timely resolution of delays or issues.
• Data Quality Improvement: Improve shipment data quality and ensure accuracy in shipment records.
• Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to legal and industry requirements regarding shipments, ensuring that all necessary documentation and routing are in compliance.
• Shipment Routing: Develop optimal shipment solutions that meet customer needs, focusing on high service quality and resource optimization.
• Invoice Preparation & Documentation: Prepare and issue invoices, ensuring they are accurate and supported by the necessary documentation.
• Performance Monitoring: Use available tools to track shipment performance and identify areas for improvement.
Required Skills and Experience of Airfreight Operations Specialist:
• Prior experience in airfreight or logistics operations is preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of airfreight processes is an advantage.

• Strong customer service orientation with a focus on resolution and service excellence.
• Problem-solving abilities with experience in handling incidents and complaints.
