Summary: The Specialist – Materials Management is responsible for partnering with internal stakeholders and external business partners to identify material needs, verify applicable standards and specifications, create accurate SAP material catalog records, and develop STO requisitions in alignment with company requirements. This position supports Materials Management and Warehouse Management activities, including reporting, inventory transaction support, catalog maintenance, material research, and special projects as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Receive, review, and evaluate material requests for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable requirements. Consult with engineers, project managers, operations personnel, buyers, and other stakeholders to confirm material specifications, standards, and project requirements. Create STO requisitions in SAP Fiori for capital expansion, capital maintenance, operations maintenance, work order, WBS, and cost center requirements. Update request tracking systems and communicate requisition status, documentation requirements, and STO information to requestors and buyers. Maintain and process STO requisition change requests and coordinate resolution of budget, coding, or system-related errors with requestors, buyers, cost analysts, and accounting personnel. Create, update, and maintain SAP material catalog numbers and delivery address records in accordance with established catalog standards. Research existing catalog records and surplus inventory to identify close-match materials and support efficient utilization of available inventory. Provide enterprise-wide SAP materials catalog support, including review, analysis, editing, and approval of new item requests. Monitor changes in industry standards, market availability, and catalog content that may impact material specifications or catalog accuracy. Coordinate with Quality Assurance to ensure applicable industry standards are accurately reflected in catalog content. Prepare reports, perform catalog clean-up activities, resolve material-related issues, and support miscellaneous Materials Management projects as assigned. Provide training, guidance, and support to employees regarding STO requisitions, SAP Fiori processes, material catalog searches, and related Materials Management procedures.
