Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Overview Hale Performance Coatings has an immediate opening for a 1st Shift 7:30am-4pm Monday - Friday for a Shipping / Receiving Associate Duties include: - Receive incoming shipments and verify the contents against the purchase orders or invoices - Unload and load trucks using forklifts or other warehouse equipment - Inspect packages for damages and report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor - Sort and label packages for proper storage or distribution - Prepare shipping documents, including labels, packing slips, and bills of lading - Coordinate with carriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries - Ensure accuracy and completeness of all shipping and receiving documentation - Maintain a clean and organized work area ```Requirements``` - Previous experience in shipping and receiving or a related field preferred - Familiarity with warehouse operations, including MRP systems and distribution centers - - Basic math skills for counting, sorting, and verifying inventory - Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods of time - Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow instructions - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Good communication skills to interact with team members, supervisors, and carriers Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
