Job Overview Buckeye Fasteners is looking for a capable Shipping Agent to support our company’s warehouse operations. You will be responsible for the picking, packing, and shipping of our products while maintaining a high degree of accuracy along with a customer service mentality. We offer competitive pay, excellent benefits, and the opportunity to work with a dynamic team. Responsibilities Monitor and analyze order reports based on our company’s shipping procedures. Create pick documents and reliability consume the item from within the warehouse. Properly pack items to be shipped following the company’s shipping procedures. Ensure all packages shipped contain a customer inventory label or customer specific barcode label. Process all shipments in our ERP system to generate necessary shipping labels and packing slips. Verify all shipments to be accurate to the order details and ensure all goods are packaged and shipped in excellent condition. Generate commercial documents for all international shipments within our ERP system. Report any missing or lost inventory, along with any shipping related problems to the shipping logistics coordinator and warehouse management. Keep the working area clean and always organized, including sweeping floors, organizing shelves, and disposing of any waste or debris. Obey all warehouse safety guidelines and protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), reporting any safety hazards, and participating in safety training programs. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ years of experience in a shipping or warehouse environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work with a team, or independently and prioritize tasks. Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment. Forklift certification preferred but not required. Ability to work in a physical environment and primarily stand for prolonged periods of time. Self-motivated working and organizational skills, along with the ability to be a team player to maintain established warehouse mentality. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Basic computer skills, including data entry and navigating computer screens. Experience with software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or similar related ERP system. Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
