Job Description: As a Sr. Buyer, you will be primarily accountable for overseeing the implementation of safety programs, manufacturing schedules, personnel, quality control, and production standards. What will you do? Plan, manage, lead, and engage in daily production operations to achieve the key performance indicators (safety, on time delivery, quality, and productivity) Promote and implement ergonomic principles, environmental responsibility and overall employee health and wellness Provide world-class service to internal and external customers Reports to Supply Chain Manager and directly leads a team of front-line supervisors with an indirect scope of hourly workforce across 3 shifts (Mon-Fri). Lead efforts to attain internal certification goals, ISO requirements, and total customer satisfaction Coach, mentor and develop all direct reports Ensure compliance with all quality systems to achieve the required quality levels Manage performance of assigned resources (material, methods, labor, machines) Participate in the development of the Master Production Schedule Champion Lean Manufacturing Initiatives (Schneider Performance System) to drive continuous improvement throughout the plant. Be responsible for people management including goal setting, performance management, competency development, recognition, engagement, and well-being. Define training goals according to competencies and targets Lead change management in accordance with business and plant objectives Promote collaboration, diversity and inclusion within the plant and the organization Lead and coordinate the implementation of programs which support manufacturing strategies & goals (External) English Qualifications: What qualifications will make you successful? Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related field is required 5+ years of experience of management and leadership in a manufacturing environment Ability to excel in fast paced, high performance environment Previous experience with P&L responsibility Solid understanding of OSHA guidelines and leading a strong safety culture Experience in the application of Lean Manufacturing methodologies, certification a plus Building a culture of responsiveness and continuous improvement Ability to drive Employee Engagement through leadership, communication, and building the respect at all levels of the organization ISO experience is a plus Strong organizational and analytical skills, results driven, ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization Flexible and available to work on off shifts Excellent PC/Tablet and system knowledge, including the ability to analyze data within an MRP system, cloud based platforms (Tableau/AVEVA) and make effective assumptions to drive business results Experience implementing or developing Smart Factory/Digital Factory initiatives Local Benefits (English): At Schneider, we believe that every employee is a talent who deserves equal opportunities. For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 86,400 - USD 129,600 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
