WHAT YOU GET TO DO Job Summary: Responsible for the purchase of materials, supplies, equipment and services needed for the completion of various projects. Support the sales process by working closely with Sales & Project Engineering and by managing the vendors. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Acts as a point of contact between Knapp Inc. and its strategic suppliers Using analytical skills, identifies, screens and onboards potential suppliers Negotiates price, payment terms, quality levels, and delivery terms for MHE products and services within budget and schedule requirements Perform all necessary duties to support corporate goals as they relate to established supplier quality, total landed cost, and inventory objectives Take proactive role in identifying and resolving material availability, quality problems and service issues to deliver Execute purchases and manage orders to support project activity. Performs sourcing administrative functions such as requesting appropriate signatures for Non-Disclosure Agreements, contracts etc. Performs purchasing related clerical tasks as assigned Interface with Project Managers on purchasing items during project roll out Development and implementation of future instruments, methods, processes, systems and/or tools in procurement Development of improvement ideas and innovation followed by coordination and implementation of corresponding measures Ensures the Senior Project Buyer is well informed, at all times of changes and news-worthy events within the area of responsibility Effectively communicates relevant related information within the organization WHAT YOU HAVE Working Conditions and Environment: Occasional Overtime, if required by work Occasional domestic and international travel Professional office etiquette is required at all times Physical requirements: sitting for long periods of time, standing, walking, speaking, visual acuity, finger dexterity, listening, reaching at arm’s length, and lifting up to 50-100 pounds WHAT YOU WILL GET 2 remote days per week Half day Fridays A beautiful new, state-of-the-art, office complex in Kennesaw, GA Industry competitive compensation Great benefits with better than average employer contributions, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts, Short & Long Term Disability and more! 401k with a very generous employer match and no vesting!
