Every bag that leaves our facility goes through this team. As a Packaging & Shipping Associate, you're the last check before our products reach customers. You make sure every label is right, every count is accurate, and every pallet ships out safely. If you like staying busy, working with a team, and seeing what you got done at the end of the day, this role is a great fit. Before you apply, here's what to know: we make freeze-dried pet food from pork, beef, chicken, turkey, fish, shellfish, and other animal proteins. Some of our products also contain peanuts and other nuts. In this role, you'll handle finished products made from all of these, and allergens such as nut dust may be airborne in the facility. Anyone with a fish, shellfish, peanut, or tree nut allergy should take this into account before applying. Typical Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm Starting Wage: $19-$22/hour, depending on experience. What You'll Do Package and verify Package and label individual products, packs, bulk items, and cases to company and customer specs Double-check labels, lot numbers, counts, weights, and product information for accuracy Ship and receive Build boxes, prepare and shrink-wrap pallets, and stage outgoing orders Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and Certificates of Analysis Load and unload trucks, inspect trailers, check temperatures, and keep shipping and receiving logs Inspect incoming packaging shipments for damage, accuracy, and temperature requirements Keep things organized Keep packaging rooms and dry storage in order using FIFO and stock rotation Track inventory and flag shortages or discrepancies to the Fulfillment Manager Keep things clean and safe Clean and sanitize packaging and storage areas, equipment, carts, racking, forklifts, restrooms, and breakrooms Follow all food safety, sanitation, quality, and PPE requirements Help out across Packaging, Production, Shipping, and Receiving as needed What We're Looking For Required: Basic math, counting, weighing, and recordkeeping skills A sharp eye for detail, since small labeling mistakes matter Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately Reliability and willingness to pitch in wherever the department needs help Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Nice to have: Experience in packaging, fulfillment, warehouse, shipping and receiving, or food manufacturing Experience with pallet jacks, forklifts, scales, or labeling systems Familiarity with FIFO, lot tracking, inventory control, or food safety practices The Physical Side This is an active, on-your-feet job. With or without reasonable accommodation, you'll need to be able to: Stand and walk for 8–10 hours per shift Bend, twist, reach, and handle materials throughout the day Regularly lift, push, and pull up to 35 lbs, and occasionally up to 50 lbs, using team lifts or equipment for heavier items Safely operate pallet jacks, carts, forklifts, scales, and labeling equipment Read labels, scales, and documents accurately You'll work across packaging rooms, dry storage, refrigerated areas, loading docks, and the warehouse, which means temperatures will vary throughout the day.
