Role Description This is a full-time, Owner Operator Truck Driver role based in Chicago, IL. The Truck Driver will operate to transport freight safely and efficiently, following assigned routes and schedules. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting chassis and containers before and after trips and maintaining accurate logs and delivery documentation. The role requires adherence to DOT regulations, company safety policies, and traffic laws, as well as communicating clearly with dispatch about delivery status. Drivers are expected to keep trucks clean, report maintenance needs promptly, and represent Cargomaxx Express Inc. professionally during all interactions. Qualifications Valid CDL Class A license and demonstrated Truck Driving experience with commercial vehicles Ability to safely operate and handle a Truck, including backing, maneuvering in tight spaces, and highway driving Solid knowledge of DOT Regulations, hours-of-service requirements, and general road safety practices Clean driving record and ability to pass required background checks and drug/alcohol screenings Strong time management, reliability, and attention to detail in completing logs and delivery paperwork Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and report mechanical issues promptly Good communication skills and professional conduct with customers, dispatch, and team members Physical ability to sit for extended periods, handle freight as required, and work in varying weather conditions Prior experience in regional or long-haul trucking preferred but not required
