OTR Non-CDL Box Truck Driver

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an OTR Non-CDL Box Truck Driver and become a vital part of our delivery network! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods across designated routes using a box truck that does not require a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Your expertise in commercial driving, manual handling, and customer service will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties Safely operate a non-CDL box truck across assigned routes, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws. Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution and safe lifting practices. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Deliver goods directly to customers’ locations, providing exceptional customer service with professionalism and courtesy. Use mobile devices or GPS systems to navigate routes efficiently, ensuring timely delivery schedules are met. Assist with warehouse operations by loading or unloading materials as needed, including heavy lifting and moving items within the warehouse or delivery sites. Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including delivery logs, route reports, and incident reports when necessary. Skills Proven experience in warehouse operations combined with commercial driving or delivery driver experience. Strong knowledge of box truck operation, including manual transmission driving skills. Familiarity with personal vehicle delivery and courier services is a plus. Ability to handle manual handling equipment such as pallet jacks safely and effectively. Excellent driving skills with adherence to traffic regulations and DOT standards for weight handling in the workplace. Customer service-oriented mindset with effective communication skills. Physical ability for heavy lifting, manual handling, and moving items regularly throughout shifts. Experience operating material handling equipment and understanding warehouse safety protocols.
