T H E R O L E The Opportunity The Operations Purchasing Manager owns end-to-end procurement — sourcing materials, supplies, and equipment cost-effectively and on time, managing vendor relationships and contracts, and partnering with operations, warehouse, and finance to control costs. This is a ground-floor role: Nuage has no formal opex/indirect purchasing process today. This person will build it from scratch — requisition workflows, approval thresholds, vendor standards, and reporting. W H A T Y O U ’ L L D O Duties & Responsibilities Process Build & Governance Design and implement Nuage's first formal indirect/opex purchasing process, including requisition and approval workflows Establish purchasing policies, spend thresholds, and vendor onboarding standards Drive cross-functional adoption of new processes with Finance, Operations, and department heads Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement best practices, and relevant regulations Vendor & Contract Management Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to secure favorable pricing, terms, and delivery schedules Manage vendor relationships, including performance reviews, contract renewals, and issue resolution Vet and onboard new suppliers, negotiating initial contract terms Maintain accurate records of contracts, pricing agreements, and vendor certifications (e.g., insurance, COIs) Purchasing Operations Develop purchasing strategies aligned with production schedules and operational needs Process purchase orders and ensure accurate documentation for approvals, receiving, and invoicing Monitor inventory levels with warehouse/production teams to prevent stockouts or overstock Support cross-location coordination between Miami and Chicago on shared vendor accounts and logistics Cost & Spend Optimization Analyze purchasing data and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities Partner with Finance/Accounting on budget tracking, vendor payment terms, and cost reconciliation Identify opportunities to consolidate spend, streamline vendor lists, and improve workflows W H O Y O U A R E Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience) Proven track record of vendor negotiation and cost management Track record of driving cross-functional adoption of new processes or policies Comfortable operating with ambiguity and creating structure where none exists Strong analyt…
