Job Description
The Metals Operations Coordinator supports daily metals operations by coordinating workflows, resources and operational requirements across site-based activities.
You will work closely with internal operations teams, contractors and external partners to ensure metal products are received, processed, stored and dispatched safely and efficiently, while maintaining strong compliance with safety, quality and operational standards.
This role is primarily site-based, with flexibility to support operational requirements across multiple locations as needed. This role is operating in between the hours of 7am- 3:30pm.
Key Responsibilities
· Coordinate daily metals operations including receiving, handling, processing and dispatch of metal products.
· Support operational planning by coordinating resources, equipment and labour to meet production and dispatch schedules.
· Liaise with site supervisors, warehouse staff, transport providers and external stakeholders to maintain efficient workflow.
· Ensure safe handling and storage of metals in accordance with site procedures, safety standards and regulatory requirements.
· Monitor operational activities to identify issues, delays or constraints and escalate or resolve as required.
· Maintain accurate operational records, including production data, inventory movements and dispatch documentation.
· Ensure compliance with site safety systems, Chain of Responsibility (where applicable), and company policies.
· Coordinate contractor and visitor access, including inductions and adherence to site requirements.
· Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, safety and quality outcomes.
· Promote a strong safety culture and actively contribute to an injury-free workplace.

You are an organised and practical operations professional who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced industrial environment.
You will bring:
· Experience in an operations coordination role within metals, manufacturing, warehousing or industrial environments.
· Working knowledge of safe metal handling practices, heavy equipment use and site-based operations.
· Strong awareness of workplace health and safety requirements and compliance obligations.
· Ability to communicate effectively with operators, supervisors, transport providers and external partners.
· Experience coordinating multiple operational tasks and prioritising workflow to meet deadlines.
· Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
· Computer literacy and experience using operational, inventory or scheduling systems, proficient in excel. SAP experience is preferred.
