SUMMARY The Material Handler provides support to the manufacturing and material handling of all assemblies. The work will be managed through Production Orders for time (Labor) and materials. The primary goals are high quality/craftsmanship and keeping inventory control of materials used in production. Communication between employee and manager/supervisor is key ensuring integrity for the quality and OTD. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area. Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages. Locates materials and supplies by verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders. Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies. Open containers, sort, and catalog materials. Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations. Broad range of Production Tasks Mechanical Assembly – Use of tools (manual/powered) System Testing/Debug Packaging/Crating Perform Production Order transactions in D365 BOM editing (collaboration with Engineering) Picking Lists Logging into the Operations Finished Good Reporting Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two years’ related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in production assembly highly desirable. Computer literacy a must Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short, and memos. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. Familiarity with production work orders preferred.
