POSITION OVERVIEW – Logistics Customs/Trade Specialist - The Logistics Customs, Trade & Analytics Specialist is responsible for supporting customs and international trade compliance activities while providing logistics data analysis, reporting, and operational coordination across North America. This role supports both the Inquiry to Order (ITO) and Order to Remittance (OTR) organizations by providing customs strategy, import/export guidance, duty and tariff analysis, logistics reporting, performance measurement, and data-driven insights. The specialist will help ensure the compliant, efficient, and cost-effective movement of goods while improving the visibility, quality, and consistency of logistics data. The specialist will partner with Project Management, Procurement, Logistics, Service, Manufacturing, Finance, Trade Compliance, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and other internal and external stakeholders. RESPONSIBILITIES Support the Inquiry to Order (ITO) organization by developing project-specific customs strategies, supporting Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification reviews, forecasting duties and tariffs, evaluating trade compliance risks, and developing customs-related logistics estimates during tendering. Support the Order to Remittance (OTR) organization by coordinating day-to-day import and export activities, customs documentation, customs clearance, temporary import programs, export requirements, and the resolution of customs-related issues. Develop, implement, and administer the ATA Carnet Program for client’s Service trucks, tooling, and other temporary international movements. Maintain HTS classification records, country-of-origin information, customs valuation data, and import/export documentation requirements. Assess tariff exposure, including Section 232, Section 301, Anti-Dumping and Countervailing Duties (AD/CVD), sanctions, and other evolving trade regulations, and support the development of mitigation strategies. Forecast customs duties, tariffs, taxes, and other trade-related costs to improve bid accuracy, project budgets, and Estimate at Completion (EAC) forecasting. Identify opportunities to reduce customs costs through Free Trade Agreements, including USMCA, duty drawback, tariff engineering, temporary import programs, and other available duty-optimization programs. Support compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), and other applicable customs and import/export requirements. Develop and maintain customs procedures, work instructions, process maps, training materials, and operational best practices. Support customs audits, compliance reviews, corrective actions, post-entry activities, and record-retention requirements. Provide customs and international trade guidance and training to Logistics, Procurement, Project Management, Service, and Manufacturing teams. Collect, validate, consolidate, and analyze logistics data from project teams, transportation providers, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal systems. Develop and maintain logistics trackers for ITO, OTR, Service, customs, shipment execution, carrier performance, and project-related activities.
