Responsibilities Coordinate and schedule vehicle dispatches using transportation management systems and vehicle dispatch software to optimize routes and delivery times Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, customers, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems, ensuring clear and professional phone etiquette Monitor GPS and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) data to track vehicle locations, analyze routes, and make real-time adjustments for efficiency Manage freight shipments, shipping & receiving processes, and ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Maintain accurate data entry in transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management, including dispatch logs, delivery statuses, and customer information Collaborate with logistics teams on supply chain coordination, road transportation operations, and fleet management to streamline processes Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries promptly, managing internal communication channels, and resolving issues swiftly Requirements Proven experience in dispatching within a logistics or transportation environment; familiarity with road transportation operations is highly desirable Strong knowledge of transportation planning, supply chain management, and freight logistics Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), data entry, typing skills, and transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or similar platforms Experience using vehicle dispatch software, GPS tracking tools, GIS applications, and logistics technology solutions Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multi-line phone systems effectively while maintaining professionalism through phone call management and phone etiquette Organizational skills capable of handling multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Understanding of DOT regulations related to vehicle dispatching and freight handling Ability to analyze data for route optimization and operational improvements Strong internal communication skills to coordinate with various departments including shipping & receiving, fleet management, and third-party logistics providers (3PL) Join us as a Dispatcher to be at the heart of our logistics operations—driving efficiency, enhancing customer satisfaction, and supporting our mission to deliver excellence every day!
