Inside Expeditor and Driver - Aircraft Maintenance Tooling

Farwest Aircraft, Inc. has an immediate opening for an experienced, self-motivated individual . Qualifications: Read and interpret aerospace drawings to determine part requirements. Forklift experience or certification is preferred but not required. Training may be provided as appropriate. Strong attention to detail, organization, and willingness to assist wherever needed. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Manufacturing work experience is preffered. Clean driving record and ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle. Duties: Kitting the receiving components. Check each job box status and share with it to Puchasing and Planning as needed. Check insufficient components and share with Puchasing and Planning. Keep track each of each job schedule including components and outside process arrival dates. Help Receiving, Shipping and Assembly processes. Gather, organize, stage, and return tools, equipment, and materials needed for shop work. Assist machinists, millwrights, fabricators, and other shop personnel with day-to-day production and project needs. Prepare raw materials and workpieces for machining, fabrication, assembly, or other operations. Assist with basic material handling, including moving, staging, loading, and unloading raw metal stock and finished components. Operate basic hand and power tools as qualified and directed, which may include grinders, saws, drills, and similar shop equipment. Assist with basic deburring, grinding, cleaning, and preparation of metal parts and materials. Help maintain organized tool, material, and work areas to improve shop efficiency and workflow. Assist with inventorying, locating, and organizing commonly used tools, supplies, and shop materials. Perform general shop cleanup and housekeeping to maintain a safe and efficient working environment. Assist with forklift and material-handling activities if trained and authorized. Follow established safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Identify and communicate material, tooling, or supply needs to appropriate shop personnel. Perform other general shop duties and support tasks as assigned Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to lift and/or move items up to 40 pounds. Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday. Frequently bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive physical tasks. Safely lift, carry, and maneuver materials, tools, and equipment consistent with the requirements of the position, with appropriate assistance or material-handling equipment when needed. Work safely around operating machinery, forklifts, metalworking equipment, noise, and other conditions typical of an industrial shop environment. Wear required personal protective equipment and follow all established shop safety procedures.
