Skyline Health LLCThe Grocery Manager oversees the daily operations and overall financial performance of the grocery department, including dry goods, dairy, frozen foods, produce, and specialty items. Responsibilities include purchasing and ordering inventory, managing vendor relationships, verifying deliveries and invoices, minimizing shrink, monitoring product freshness through proper rotation, and maintaining accurate inventory levels. The manager also leads the stocking team, ensures attractive and organized merchandise displays, maintains pricing accuracy, and provides exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers with product questions and dietary needs. Additional duties include supporting checkout operations, processing various payment methods, maintaining cash accuracy, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of sales floors, storage areas, and receiving spaces. The ideal candidate has at least two years of grocery retail management or supervisory experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and strong knowledge of grocery products, natural and organic food standards, and dietary lifestyles. They should demonstrate excellent leadership, communication, organization, vendor negotiation, and analytical skills, including proficiency with point-of-sale systems, spreadsheets, inventory management, and profit margin calculations. The position requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 40–50 pounds, perform repetitive stocking tasks, and operate heavy machinery. The Grocery Manager works in a friendly, family-oriented retail environment and must maintain a flexible schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and designated delivery and ordering days.
