Gas Station & Convenience Store Attendant – Full-Time Company: Aylmer Ultramar / Delk Fuels Location: Aylmer, ON Job Type: Full-Time Work Location: In Person Job Description Aylmer Ultramar / Delk Fuels is hiring! We are looking for dependable, energetic, and customer-focused individuals to join our team as full-time Gas Station & Convenience Store Attendants. Our station is a busy retail environment offering fuel, convenience store products, propane services, and more. We take pride in providing friendly, efficient service while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our customers. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with people, takes initiative, pays attention to detail, and can work both independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Fuel Operations Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service. Assist customers with fuel purchases and other services. Operate cash registers, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and payment terminals accurately. Process cash, debit, credit, and other transactions. Assist customers with propane cylinder refills when properly trained and certified. Follow all applicable fuel-handling, propane, and workplace safety procedures. Convenience Store Operations Stock shelves, refrigerators, and merchandise displays. Monitor inventory and replenish products as needed. Maintain a clean and organized store, including counters, floors, washrooms, and customer areas. Ensure products are properly priced, rotated, and displayed. Assist with receiving deliveries and organizing stock. Monitor product expiry dates and maintain merchandising standards. Follow procedures for age-restricted products, including checking identification where required. Daily Operations Complete opening, closing, and shift-related duties. Maintain cleanliness and safety around the fuel pumps, forecourt, and store. Follow company policies and cash-handling procedures. Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or unusual situations to management. Work cooperatively with other team members to keep daily operations running smoothly. Qualifications & Skills Required: Strong customer service and communication skills. Reliable, punctual, and responsible. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Comfortable handling cash and using electronic payment systems. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine physical tasks, including stocking merchandise. Attention to detail and willingness to follow established procedures. Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment. The following are considered assets: Previous gas station, convenience store, or retail experience. Valid Smart Serve certification. Valid propane cylinder filling certification/licence. Previous cash-handling or POS experience. Experience with inventory management and merchandising. Applicants do not need to hold every certification to be considered. Scheduling & Availability This is a full-time position requiring flexible availability seven days a week. Applicants must be available for scheduling on weekdays, weekends, and evenings. This does not mean employees will work seven days per week; however, applicants must have the flexibility to work shifts throughout the week based on business needs.
