Gas & Diesel Mechanic

Bad Guy Motors is a fast-paced, growing custom and performance shop in Medicine Hat. We build custom trucks and diesel performance rigs for ag, oil and gas, construction and fleet operators across Western Canada. This is not oil-change-and-tire-rotation work. If you want to build things and see your work roll out the door, keep reading. We’re hiring a mechanic who knows their way around both gas and diesel. Custom and performance experience is a strong plus. What you’ll do Diagnose, repair and service gas and diesel trucks Work on performance builds, engine and drivetrain swaps, and custom projects Work alongside our fabricators on integrated builds Document your work clearly on every work order The BGM Standard Our name goes on every truck that leaves this shop. Here’s what that means in the bay: You diagnose before you replace. No parts-cannon. Torque to spec, every fastener, every time. You work from service information, not memory. Every work order shows what you found, what you did and what you used, so the next person can follow it. You road test and re-check before a job is called done. The customer’s truck goes back cleaner than it came in. If you’re unsure, you ask. If you spot a problem, you say so. If you’ve read this far, start your answer to the diagnostic question in the application with the word “Torque.” What we need Solid hands-on gas and diesel experience Red Seal or Alberta journeyperson (Automotive Service Technician, Heavy Equipment Technician, or Truck & Transport Mechanic), or a strong senior apprentice Valid driver’s licence Your own tools Someone who takes pride in the work, shows up, and can be trusted with a customer’s truck This job isn’t for you if… You want to flag hours and move on to the next ticket You skip the paperwork because “it’s fixed” You’d rather hide a comeback than own it What you get $35–$55/hr depending on experience and ticket Milestone raises and a clear path to lead hand for the right person Interesting work in a real fab and performance shop, not a dealership grind Hiring process Apply through Indeed.
