Floral Shop Assistant (Part-Time) Description: Floral Assistant Job Description A Floral Assistant supports florists and design teams in creating, preparing, and delivering beautiful floral arrangements while ensuring excellent customer service and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. It’s definitely beautiful work, but it’s also detailed, technical, and pretty physical at times. Role Overview Floral Assistants are essential in florist shops, event studios, and design teams. They combine creative design skills with operational tasks, ensuring flowers are fresh, arrangements meet customer specifications, and the retail environment is inviting Key Responsibilities Floral Design Support : Cooler care, prep and maintaining effect floral freshness. Flower Care : Water, prune, feed, and maintain freshness of flowers and plants; condition bulk shipments to maximize vase life Customer Service : Greet clients, answer inquiries, take orders (in-person, phone, or online) Inventory & Supply Management : Receive and unpack floral shipments, stock supplies, and alert florists to low stock Workspace Maintenance : Keep design stations, coolers, and retail areas clean, organized, and visually appealing Event Support : Help with setup and teardown of floral installations for weddings, corporate events, and special occasions Order Fulfillment : Prepare and package arrangements for delivery or pickup; ensure structural integrity and presentation Delivery: delivering when needed as well as running other tasks, must have a valid drivers license. Skills & Qualifications Hard Skills Plant and flower identification Inventory management and POS system use Flower care and maintenance Packaging and shipping Soft Skills Attention to detail Creativity Time management is a must Communication and customer service orientation Team collaboration and adaptability Preferred : Prior experience in floristry, event styling, or retail customer service; passion for flowers and design. Job Type: Part-time Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour Work Location: In person
