Dump Truck Driver

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will operate heavy-duty dump trucks to transport construction materials, debris, and other freight across various job sites and routes. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and ability to handle diverse cargo will ensure timely deliveries and efficient operations. Responsibilities Safely operate dump trucks and tractor-trailers on over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load, secure, transport, and unload freight including construction materials, hazardous goods, or specialized cargo such as refrigerated trailers or tanker loads. Navigate using GPS systems to reach destinations efficiently while adhering to route schedules. Perform routine inspections of trucks before and after trips, checking for mechanical issues, proper load securement, and compliance with hazardous materials regulations when applicable. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel to coordinate deliveries and pickups across various locations. Handle manual loading and unloading tasks when necessary, ensuring cargo is properly secured to prevent damage or accidents during transit. Skills Proven experience of at least 5 years in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving with tractor-trailers or flatbed trucks. Skilled in manual transmission operation and manual handling techniques for cargo management. Ability to use GPS navigation systems effectively for route planning and real-time adjustments. Excellent driving record with a focus on safety, punctuality, and professionalism in all aspects of commercial truck driving. Pay: From $30.00 per hour Work Location: In person
