We treat people with respect and dignity, promote the benefits of diversity and address challenges in a direct and compassionate manner. We engage people in our goals and objectives; we listen and act on new ideas where possible. That is our Philosophy. How you will make a difference: The Director, Warehouse & Logistics owns the effective management and continuous improvement of our end-to-end merchandise logistics network across Canada and the United States. This covers merchandise movement from suppliers in Asia through ocean freight and importation, into our third-party warehouses and distribution network, and on to stores. A key focus is analyzing shipping patterns, inventory flows and logistics requirements to reduce costs, improve service levels and increase efficiency. This is a hands-on role: you’ll work directly with the data, challenge existing processes and assumptions, and personally drive initiatives from analysis through implementation, while providing direction and coaching to the team. What You’ll Do: International Freight & Inbound Logistics: Manage inbound ocean freight from Asia to our Canadian and U.S. distribution centres, including planning, schedules, container utilization and routing. Work with suppliers, freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers and buying teams, and proactively manage delays, capacity constraints and port disruptions. Analyze volumes, routes, transit times and costs to find consolidation and savings opportunities. Third-Party Warehouse & DC Management: Oversee our 3PL network in Mississauga, Vancouver, New Jersey, Los Angeles and Miami. Set and monitor service levels, productivity, inventory accuracy, turnaround times and costs. Review 3PL invoices, rates and accessorial charges, assess capacity against business needs, and recommend network changes where appropriate. Store Distribution & Transportation: Ensure timely, reliable and cost-effective deliveries from DCs to stores across Canada and the U.S. Optimize carriers, routing, delivery schedules, shipment frequency and consolidation, and partner with Merchandising, Planning, Allocation and Store Operations. Strategy, Analytics & Continuous Improvement: Build a thorough understanding of end-to-end merchandise flow and cost structure. Develop business cases for significant changes, lead approved initiatives, and measure results against expected benefits. Identify opportunities in technology, automation and reporting, benchmark costs and practices, and own annual logistics budgets and forecasts. Leadership & Management: Lead the warehouse and logistics team, set clear objectives and expectations, and build a culture of accountability, problem solving and cost awareness. Work cross-functionally with Finance, IT and other departments, and provide senior management with clear reporting and recommendations. How Success Is Measured: Total logistics cost per unit, ocean freight cost and container utilization, inbound transit time and schedule adherence, warehouse cost, productivity and inv…
