Courier Driver (Independent Contractor)

Job Overview (NOT MEDICAL COURIER) Hi-Route Enterprise is seeking several motivated and dependable Independent Contractor Courier Drivers to join our dynamic transportation team in the Lake Charles or Lafayette , Louisiana area. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods across local routes, ensuring timely deliveries and exceptional customer service. This position offers flexibility and independence, allowing you to operate your own vehicle while adhering to all safety and traffic regulations. RESPONSIBILITIES Pick up packages from a designated location Sorting, Scan, load, transport, and deliver packages Promptly communicate delivery issues outside of the normal scope Operate your personal vehicle to complete scheduled deliveries within designated local routes (no gas/mileage reimbursements) Maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor Navigate efficiently using GPS navigation systems, planning optimal routes to maximize productivity and safety REQUIREMENTS 21 years of age Schedule: Sunday–Saturday, daytime delivery routes Reliable vehicle (sedan, SUV, minivan) Current vehicle registration and current auto insurance Dependable and professional Previous delivery experience preferred but not required Valid driver’s license Experience with GPS navigation tools and familiarity with local driving routes Knowledgeable of traffic laws Excellent customer service skills with strong communication abilities Ability to manage time effectively Additional Information: One Week initial hold back week; Weekly Pay Paid Per Package Flexible days schedule Join us as an Independent Contractor Driver and enjoy the freedom of working independently while making a positive impact on our clients’ daily lives.
