Indeed

Commercial MEP & Life Safety Dispatch Operations Lead At Beacon Mechanical Services in Stoughton, MA, your day begins as the operational hub for multiple commercial service divisions—Plumbing, Mechanical/HVAC, Electrical, Facility Services, and Fire Life Safety. With 3–4 field crews per division in motion, you orchestrate who goes where, when, and with what—bridging technicians, customers, vendors, division managers, and our internal operations team to keep work moving from the first request through final closeout. What you’ll drive Plan and optimize forward-looking technician schedules using priority, geography, workload, skill sets, and customer requirements. Monitor and route incoming work from Corrigo, ServiceChannel, FieldPulse, email, and other customer platforms. Maintain clear visibility into active, pending, approved, and return work; remove roadblocks and advance each job toward completion. Check in with technicians throughout the day and before end-of-day to lock in job status, return needs, materials, equipment, estimates, and next steps. Arrange return visits and coordinate vendors, materials, equipment rentals, deliveries, and site access requirements. Communicate proactively with customers on ETAs, job progress, schedule shifts, delays, and return visits. Validate that technician notes, photos, material details, JHAs, and all required documentation are accurate and complete. Track quotes, approvals, and follow-up items so no task lingers without a clearly defined next action. Serve as the go-to operational resource for technicians—clarifying scope, site information, and customer expectations. How you operate Stay locked in on the service board and the immediate next action for every active job. Keep schedules well-organized and anticipate changes ahead of time. Maintain steady, clear communication with field crews and customers. Spot incomplete or stalled work and move it forward decisively. Resolve routine scheduling/service issues independently; escalate larger concerns appropriately. Work with urgency, structure, accountability, and strong follow-through. What you bring 5+ years in service dispatching, coordination, or field-service operations. Proven history directing multiple technicians or crews in a fast-paced commercial service environment.
