Commercial Driver's License A Truck Driver

Full Job Description: Class A CDL driver will perform local daily runs including but not limited to transporting freight, roll-off dumpsters and storage containers as well as maintain equipment. Safe and professional operation of a commercial motor vehicle, including but not limited to: Combination vehicles and straight trucks. Comply with all applicable Department of Transportation regulations including but not limited: Controlled Substances, Commercial Driver Licensing, Driver Qualification, CMV Operation, Hours of Service; CSA inspections and compliance, Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance, etc. Complete pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections of equipment. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance Maintain route plan as provided by Dispatch. Communicate to Dispatch any barriers to maintaining the route plan so any changes can be communicated to the customer. Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts. Truck drivers are expected to help with work in the yard as well as operate truck. Yard work and maintenance that may need to be performed includes but not limited to greasing equipment, replacing lights, moving and washing equipment. Home every night and flexibility in schedule. Occasional weekend work is available. Ability to work in all weather conditions. Qualifications: Valid CDL A (Required) Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card Commercial Driving: 2 years (Preferred) Experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, CB,etc) Adaptability to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.) Must be 21 years of age or older Pay: Based on Experience This Job Is: Open to applicants who do not have a college diploma Trucking freight handling: Drop & hook Type of Freight: Flatbed Dry Vans Other/Specialized Work Remotely No Pay: From $27.50 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Referral program Work Location: In person
