Duties Safely operate flatbed trucks, tractor-trailers, and other commercial vehicles on over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring proper securing of hazardous materials and dangerous goods on flatbeds or tanker trailers Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel consumption and route planning Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking load securement, brake systems, lights, and tires Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in compliance with FMCSA regulations Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate cargo handling, route planning, and timely deliveries across diverse locations Requirements Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and experience operating flatbed trucks or tractor-trailers Proven delivery driving experience with knowledge of route driving and freight handling procedures Ability to manually load and unload freight safely while adhering to safety protocols Proficiency in GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning on OTR routes Knowledge of truck loading/unloading procedures for freight. Strong understanding of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT regulations, and hazardous materials regulations for safe operations Must be able to drive Manual Transmission.
