Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Company Over-the-Road (OTR) Hotshot Driver! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight across long distances, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. This position offers the opportunity to operate specialized equipment such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, providing vital logistics support for diverse industries. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers and specialized equipment including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers across OTR routes. Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency. Load, secure, transport, and unload freight such as hazardous materials, dangerous goods, or automobile transportation cargo following FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and hazardous materials regulations. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate pickups and deliveries while managing route adjustments as needed. Ensure proper handling of manual transmission trucks and manual handling of logistics cargo during loading and unloading processes. Requirements Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving on OTR routes. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tanker trucks, and hazardous materials handling. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for truck loading/unloading. Ability to operate GPS navigation systems accurately for route planning. Experience with manual transmission trucks preferred but not required; must be comfortable with manual handling tasks. Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures including freight security and load & unload operations. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service.
