Carrier Sales Representative (Freight Brokerage)

About the Role FJ Logistics is looking for a driven, sales-minded Carrier Sales Representative to join our team on-site in McAllen, TX. In this role, you will source and secure truck capacity, negotiate competitive rates, and build lasting relationships with carriers. We want a closer who protects both service quality and margin on every load. What You’ll Do Proactively prospect and recruit carriers to cover loads; don’t wait for capacity to come to you Handle objections, negotiate rates, and close capacity commitments Turn new carrier contacts into reliable, repeat partners Confirm capacity, costs, and load details before booking Document every agreement accurately in our systems Hand off each load to Operations and Track & Trace with clear data, open items flagged, and owners defined Work closely with the operations team to keep freight moving and customers satisfied Use technology (TMS, CRM, spreadsheets, and approved AI tools) to work faster and smarter while protecting confidential information What We’re Looking For Proven track record in sales, ideally carrier sales, freight brokerage, or logistics Strong negotiation and closing skills, backed by real results Practical, hands-on use of technology or AI at work. Be ready to share concrete examples of how you improve productivity, verify results, and keep sensitive data secure Organized, detail-oriented, and accountable for accurate documentation Able to work on-site in McAllen, TX Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of directly related experience (strong candidates who can demonstrate the skills are encouraged to apply) Experience with reefer and produce freight Dry van experience Bilingual: English and Spanish Knowledge of U.S.–Mexico cross-border operations Pay: $50,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year Application Question(s): How many years of carrier sales or freight brokerage experience do you have?
