Buyer - Job Description Job Title: Buyer $55,000 - $75,000 Position Status: Full Time Position Outline Buyer will manage all the purchasing functions within ACC. This includes purchases of: material for products, parts for machines, supplies, and any other purchases for the company. They will also manage vendors and consider cost, quality, lead times, and ease of doing business when purchasing. · Direct all purchasing needs · Manage vendors to determine optimal purchases · Conduct vendor audits when needed or required. · Support ERP system and become a strong user to be a resource for others. · Develop procedure and process quality defects of purchased material back to vendor. · Assure credits are received from vendors for quality defects and returns. · Work toward just in time inventories whenever possible. · Work with Quality Manager & Production Manager to determine specs to give to vendors. · Work with HR/Finance Manager to assure payables are correct and approved. · Work with receiving to assure product received is entered against PO and PO’s are closed out. · Monthly Inventory counts · Be a backup to other functional areas: Sales Service, Quality, Receiving Education/Experience Associate’s degree in business, supply chain, or economics 2-3 years previous purchasing experience preferred Strong communication skills Strong computer skills; proficient in excel, word, email Demonstrates good math skills Pay attention to detail Must pass drug test Benefits 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Vision insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off 8 Paid Holidays Unlimited PTO STD/LTD Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year Work Location: In person
