Buyer

Being a Buyer with us means putting your exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to anticipate needs to work every day. As a Buyer, you will be responsible for monitoring requirements, purchase orders, deliveries, and inventory. You will also build and maintain effective, long-lasting operational relationships with our suppliers. On a daily basis, you will: Process and follow up on purchase orders, delivery timelines, and compliance for our Canadian sites; Build and maintain collaborative relationships with suppliers, monitor their performance, and address disputes or issues as needed; Identify product requirements based on company objectives and projects and provide equivalent product alternatives in the event of shortages; Develop and implement effective, cost-efficient purchasing strategies to reduce procurement costs while maintaining product and service quality; Work closely with various internal teams to ensure the smooth operation of the procurement function. You’re the person we’re looking for if you have: A diploma in administration, procurement, or a related field such as operations management or industrial management; A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role; Good knowledge of procurement practices, including international purchasing and inventory management systems (Min-Max, MRP); Demonstrated experience and/or knowledge in the HVAC industry; Experience with ERP systems; Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills; Strong organizational, prioritization, and analytical skills; Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including intermediate-level Excel skills; Autonomy, thoroughness, initiative, and strong attention to detail; The ability to communicate in both French and English, verbally and in writing, to meet the requirements of the role and interact with various stakeholders.
