Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused AZ Driver to support shop and field operations by transporting structural steel products, materials, tools, and equipment between Steelcon facilities, job sites, suppliers, and customers. The successful candidate will operate a Hino truck and play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and on-time deliveries while maintaining compliance with transportation and safety regulations. Responsibilities and Duties Operate a Hino truck safely and professionally in accordance with provincial and federal transportation regulations. Transport structural steel materials, fabricated components, tools, and equipment to and from Steelcon shops, job sites, and supplier locations. Load, secure, inspect, and unload materials safely to prevent damage during transport. Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance concerns. Maintain accurate delivery records, logbooks, inspection reports, and shipping documentation. Coordinate with shop personnel, project teams, and site supervisors to ensure timely deliveries. Assist with material handling and general shop support activities as required. Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and customer site requirements. Keep vehicles clean, organized, and in good operating condition. Qualifications Valid AZ Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract. Previous experience transporting construction materials, steel products, or oversized loads is considered an asset. Knowledge of load securement requirements and transportation regulations. Comfortable operating forklifts, overhead cranes, or other material handling equipment (asset). Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices. Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, securing, and handling materials. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
