For more information, visit the link below: www.tn.gov/education/career-opportunities.html How You Make a Difference in This Role: In this role, you will identify and assess program needs, develop short- and long-term strategies related to procurement and food service management contracts, and support program compliance through administrative and procurement reviews. You will also provide technical assistance and training, foster partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, and lead initiatives that strengthen program effectiveness, compliance, and continuous improvement. Job Overview: This position serves as a key member of the School Nutrition Program, providing consultative and administrative leadership in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, resources, training, and guidance for federal child nutrition programs. Key Responsibilities: Procurement, Compliance, and Program Support Plan, coordinate, and oversee procurement reviews to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Provide training, technical assistance, and guidance to school food authorities and agency staff on procurement requirements and best practices. Review contracts, monitor corrective actions, maintain compliance tracking systems, and analyze data to identify trends and recommend improvements. Conduct administrative and procurement reviews, update policies and procedures, and collaborate with leadership and legal staff on regulatory matters. Represent the agency at meetings, conferences, and task forces; develop procurement documents, SOPs, and training materials; and perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Education and Experience: Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and experience equivalent to substantial (five or more years of) full-time professional educational or instructional work, including at least two years of supervisory/administrative or advisory work. Substitution of Education for Experience: Graduate coursework from an accredited college or university may be substituted for the required experience, on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of two years, there being no substitution for the required two years of specialized experience. OR One year of experience as an Education Consultant 2 with the State of Tennessee. Necessary Special Qualifications: Applicants for this class may be required to possess a valid driver's license.
