Hobson Chrysler Dodge Jeep RamAbout the Role Hobson Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is seeking a detail-oriented, fast-paced, and dependable Parts Advisor to join our busy dealership team. As a Parts Advisor, you are a critical link in our daily operations—responsible for managing inventory, looking up accurate part numbers, supporting service technicians, and assisting retail customers both over the phone and at the counter. We are looking for an assertive self-starter who takes ownership of their work, works efficiently under pressure, and maintains high accuracy in data entry and customer quoting. Key Responsibilities Independent Problem Solving: Evaluate customer and technician requests, assess inventory/catalog data, and take direct action to resolve needs without needing step-by-step guidance. Accurate Parts Cataloging & Quoting: Efficiently utilize electronic parts catalogs (EPC) and dealership management systems (DMS) to source, quote, and bill parts correctly on electronic repair orders. Workflow & Speed: Maintain a fast, efficient pace to keep up with shop demand and counter/phone volume while minimizing order backlogs or delays. Customer Phone & Counter Service: Handle incoming phone calls with thoroughness and accuracy, gathering complete vehicle details (VIN, trim, options) Inventory Control & Asset Protection: Ensure accurate part ordering to avoid non-returnable inventory, core tracking errors, or financial write-offs. This also includes assisting in keeping an accurate count of the inventory in the parts room. Multi-Step Process Execution: Reliably execute daily operational routines—from receipting stock and processing returns to tracking special orders—with high attention to detail. Qualifications & Requirements Automotive/Parts Experience: Prior automotive parts experience preferred (dealership, NAPA, AutoZone, or similar environment). Speed & Accuracy: Demonstrated ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strict accuracy in pricing, part numbers, and data entry. Resourcefulness & Initiative: High degree of self-reliance; ability to read situations, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions independently. Technical Aptitude: Experience with Dealership Management Systems (DMS) or electronic inventory/catalog software is a strong plus. Communication Skills: Clear, articulate phone presence and strong interpersonal skills for working with technicians and retail customers. Reliability: Strong organizational skills, accountability, and punctual attendance. What We Offer Pay: $17/ hour.
