Yard/Pump Attendent

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Yard/Pump Attendant, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient yard environment. This energetic position involves managing the flow of equipment and materials, assisting customers and team members with their needs, and ensuring smooth operations at the yard and pump stations. Your proactive attitude and excellent communication skills will help create a positive experience for everyone who visits or works in our facility. Duties Manage the entry and exit of vehicles, equipment, and personnel at the yard gate, ensuring proper documentation and safety compliance Assist customers with product loading, unloading, and equipment operation, providing friendly and professional service Conduct routine inspections of yard areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and organization Operate pumps to transfer materials accurately while adhering to safety protocols Handle cash transactions, process payments using POS (Point of Sale) systems, and maintain accurate cash handling records Support merchandising efforts by organizing supplies and maintaining inventory visibility Communicate effectively with team members and customers via phone etiquette, providing clear instructions and updates Ability to lift 75 - 100 lb minimum Skills Multilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively Proven experience in retail sales or technical sales environments, including product demos and upselling techniques Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English; bilingual skills are a plus Basic math skills for cash handling, inventory management, and measurement tasks Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and merchandising practices Excellent organizational skills to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment Effective communication skills for interacting with customers, team members, and vendors Ability to demonstrate technical knowledge related to equipment operation or product features during demos or sales interactions This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your technical sales skills while contributing to a well-organized yard environment.
