Assistant Shop Manager

Duties Assist the Store Manager in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures Supervise and motivate retail staff to achieve sales goals while maintaining high standards of customer service Oversee inventory management, including stock replenishment, merchandising, and inventory control to maximize sales opportunities Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction Support hiring processes by participating in interviewing and employee orientation sessions Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems for transactions, cash handling, and sales reporting Coordinate purchasing activities and pricing strategies to optimize store profitability Implement training and development programs to enhance team performance and product knowledge Monitor operational compliance with company policies and safety regulations Assist in budgeting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and other administrative tasks as needed Skills Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles with supervisory responsibilities Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and foster a collaborative environment Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for engaging diverse customer bases Skilled in negotiation, purchasing, inventory management, and sales management techniques Proficient in POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math including pricing strategies and budgeting Demonstrated ability to train staff on operational procedures, customer service standards, and product knowledge Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Experience with employee orientation, interviewing new hires, and supervising retail sales teams Knowledge of retail industry standards such as merchandising, stocking, inventory control, and store operations management Strong time management skills to handle shift management duties effectively Ability to communicate clearly with team members and customers using professional phone etiquette and managerial communication techniques Join us as an Assistant Shop Manager where your energy fuels success!
