Duties Assist in supervising daily store operations, including sales, inventory control, and customer service activities Lead and motivate the retail sales team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding service Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing and onboarding new employees Manage employee orientation, training, and development to enhance team performance Oversee cash handling, cashiering procedures, and POS (Point of Sale) systems to ensure accuracy and security Maintain inventory management through stock replenishment, merchandising, pricing, and stock control Handle shift management responsibilities, including scheduling, supervising staff, and ensuring operational efficiency Implement operational policies related to budgeting, purchasing, bookkeeping, and payroll processing Foster a positive shopping environment by providing excellent customer service and resolving issues promptly Support management in executing promotional activities and merchandising strategies Skills Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence positive outcomes Proven experience in employee orientation, training & development, and team supervision within a retail setting Skilled in interviewing candidates and recruiting top talent for retail teams Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively Knowledge of payroll processing, bookkeeping, inventory management, and POS systems Demonstrated leadership with retail management experience including sales management and operational oversight Excellent communication skills paired with managerial communication expertise to lead teams confidently Proficient in retail math including pricing, sales calculations, budgeting, and basic math skills Experience with grocery or retail store product knowledge is a plus Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently across various responsibilities such as stocking, merchandising, and cash handling Familiarity with shift management practices and customer service standards in a fast-paced environment Join us as an Assistant Manager where your enthusiasm for retail combined with your leadership talents will inspire your team to succeed!
